Hatha Yoga - Slow Flow
Hatha yoga is a powerful tool for transformation. A gentle form of yoga, focusing on stabilizing and alignment in each posture, linking the postures together in a gentle flow, increasing concentration while maintaining an even and steady breath. As you practice this style you reconnect with your inner resevoir of energy, vitality and creativity. Bringing your attention to your breath, which helps to still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment.
Some of the benefits of practicing hatha yoga include:
- Create a calm and meditative state that helps to release mental stress and anxiety.
- Physically tone, stretch and strengthen the body.
- Enhance personal health and vitality.
- Increase the volume and quality of the breath.
- Change your minds perspective.
Classes are designed to be accessible to all levels, all bodies and all abilities.
Traditionally yoga was taught by one teacher to one student. The ancient teachers knew the importance of individualizing each yoga experience to meet the needs of each individual student. Most yoga classes are held in group settings. There is something inspiring about that powerful group energy, moving, breathing and flowing alongside others. Private yoga, when I work one on one with a student, is a different but equally powerful way to practice. Teaching privately means that I am fully and deeply present with you.
Each class is tailored to your specific needs and goals and can be especially effective if :
- You have or are recovering from an injury.
- You are a beginner and want to learn the basics the right way.
- You want the convenience of practicing in your own home or office at a time that suits you.
- You want to work with a devoted teacher who will support you and keep you accountable.
*Private sessions are for one on one classes, however it is also possible to book a private class for a larger group or to book a corporate yoga class. If you are interested in either of these options please email me for more information.
